California Muslim wins employment discrimination suit

A major fast food chain has allegedly discriminated against one of their employees. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed an employment discrimination lawsuit on behalf of a California man who claims he was unlawfully terminated. The man claims that he was terminated after he made a request to grow a beard as part of his religion.

California employment dispute over pension reduction

According to reports, certain California nurses gathered around in a protest regarding pension benefits. This employment dispute is a result of a proposed decrease in the amount of monthly retirement benefits from one of the largest health care systems. Dignity Health has over 300 facilities in California and other areas with 56,000 employees, including 11,000 physicians. They are set to negotiate the terms of the agreement.

California woman sues for racial employment discrimination

A California woman has sued her former employer after she was terminated. She is suing for employment discrimination based off her race and other biased treatment. The California employer has challenged the allegations against the company and has stated that it plans to fight the claims in court.

California hospital faces wrongful termination suit

A hospital is facing a lawsuit by a former employee after she was fired. The wrongful termination lawsuit was filed after a California woman was fired from her 11-year position. She claims that she reported multiple incidents that were committed by a physician to management that, in turn, resulted in the loss of employment. She is seeking to recover damages as a result of this adverse event.

Walmart to be sued over employment dispute?

Walmart is at the center of a fiery legal dispute involving their employees. A number of Walmart employees filed complaints with the California labor dispute in regard to protests on Black Friday last year. Multiple employees were apparently sanctioned and even lost their jobs during the employment dispute.
